Erik ten Hag watched his side put in another shocking display at Selhurst Park. The Manchester United faithful stayed in full voice until the end, despite losing 4-0, but everyone knows what we are witnessing every week isn’t good enough.

This has added pressure for our manager, Ten Hag, but The Telegraph believe Manchester United have no intention of sacking the Dutchman before the FA Cup final.

That may give Ten Hag some hope he can somehow keep his job with an unlikely victory of Pep Guardiola’s Man City at Wembley later this month.

Old Trafford insiders insist that a final decision on Ten Hag’s future will not be taken until the end of the season.

The report adds that several players believe Ten Hag’s fate is effectively sealed.

Matt Law claims: “Ten Hag’s communication with his squad is said to have caused issues this season, with some sources believing he is lacking in motivational skills and empathy.”

In the aftermath of last night’s heavy defeat to Crystal Palace, former players issued demands for United to fire Ten Hag immediately. Michael Owen and Paul Scholes were in agreement that Steve McClaren is the perfect fit to takeover as caretaker manager for the remainder of the campaign.

United have three games remaining in the Premier League before the FA Cup final.
